Amazon Prime Air is the company’s drone delivery service, and today a huge expansion of its availability was announced. Nearly 500 US cities will be reached by the end of 2026. Here’s where Amazon drone delivery is coming next.
Amazon Prime Air will reach almost 500 US cities by end of 2026

Amazon’s Prime Air service is rapidly expanding and plans to reach nearly 500 cities and towns in the United States by the end of 2026—a sixfold increase from its current footprint—bringing ultrafast drone delivery to communities with tens of millions of customers across the country.
Prime Air offers the widest selection of items by drone, including millions of groceries, electronics, cosmetics, medications, and household products at everyday low prices, delivered in as fast as 30 minutes.
Currently Prime Air is available in the following areas:
- Tolleson, Arizona (Phoenix metro area)
- Ruskin, Florida (Tampa metro area)
- Kansas City, Kansas
- Papillion, Nebraska (Omaha metro area)
- Baton Rouge, Louisiana
- Hazel Park, Michigan (Detroit metro area)
- Pontiac, Michigan (Detroit metro area)
- Richmond, Texas (Houston metro area)
- San Antonio, Texas
- Richardson, Texas (Dallas metro area)
- Waco, Texas
Drone delivery is launching next in Chicago, Illinois; Syracuse, New York; Cleveland, Ohio; Atlanta, Georgia; and Boise, Idaho metro areas. Amazon adds, “with more communities to come later this year.”
Prime members get drone delivery free on orders of $50 or more. There’s a $2.99 delivery fee on orders under $50, and non-Prime members can get drone delivery for $4.99.
