After decades honoring creative individuals including Steve Jobs, the prestigious One Club for Creativity has launched a new award for brands and chosen Apple as the first recipient because of its consistently excellent marketing.

Steve Jobs was posthumously inducted into The One Club's Creative Hall of Fame back in 2012. Then specific marketing campaigns by Apple and Apple and TBWA\Media Arts Labs have won its Penta Pencil design awards in 2017 and 2026.

Now, though, the whole of Apple is being honored in a new Brand Hall of Fame. It's the first time in 65 years of the Creative Hall of Fame that a company has been inducted.

"It's an incredible honor for Apple to join the Creative Hall of Fame, because imagination is woven into everything we do," said Tim Cook in a statement. "It drives how we innovate, how we design, and how we work every day to empower people everywhere to create their own extraordinary things."

"We're grateful to be recognized by an institution that has championed creative voices for so many generations," he continued.

The award is in recognition of what The One Club describes as 50 years of design, branding, and communications innovation and leadership. The club singles out famous Apple campaigns such as the "1984" Macintosh ad, "Think Different" from the 1990s, and the early 2000s "I'm a Mac" ads.

Apple will be presented with its award at a black-tie gala September 16, 2026 at Capitale New York where seats cost from $1,250. The dinner is a fundraiser for the Creative Hall of Fame, a non-profit which aims to bring attention to outstanding creative work worldwide.

While Apple is the first brand to be honored, this year's gala continues to celebrate individual achievement. Individual inductees include creatives from Levi, Nike, and Mastercard.

Apple's latest honor follows decades of it winning awards for its advertising and marketing. Most recently in April 2026, it won Webby Awards for both an Apple Pay and a Lionel Messi sports campaign for Apple TV.
