Apple is growing its American manufacturing efforts with new and expanded partnerships to produce components for the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro in the United States.

The company committed up to $100 million over three years to a Pennsylvania titanium producer, while expanding work with a Delaware company that makes technology for the latest iPhone Pro camera system.

It’s Apple’s latest move to once again remind critics that dozens of iPhone components are sourced from the United States.

Many iPhone components are made in America

Apple faces regular accusations that the iPhone is not made in America. The company’s response is that, while its handsets are not assembled in the United States, many of the components come from American manufacturers.

The goal of Apple’s American Manufacturing Program is to shift advanced production and key component fabrication to the U.S. The company announced the $600 billion, four-year initiative last year. and has continued to expand it, with new partners joining in spring 2026. The program has now grown further, according to an announcement made on Tuesday.

“We’re thrilled to expand our work with companies producing advanced materials and components for our newest iPhone lineup right here in America,” said Sabih Khan, Apple’s chief operating officer, in a statement Tuesday. “American ingenuity is vital to all our products, from the titanium crafted for iPhone Duo to breakthrough camera innovations in iPhone 18 Pro. We’re proud to work with Perryman and Qnity Electronics to continue expanding our American Manufacturing Program and support U.S. jobs.”

Apple said Tuesday it will invest up to $100 million over the next three years with Perryman Company, a family-owned Pennsylvania business that specializes in titanium products. The company will supply titanium for Apple devices, including the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable iPhone.

Perryman processes the metal at its facility in Houston, Pennsylvania, where it melts, forges and rolls titanium containing at least 80% recycled material.

Apple is also expanding its partnership with Qnity Electronics, a Delaware-based company that joined the American Manufacturing Program in March. Qnity will produce advanced films needed for the variable aperture camera system in the iPhone 18 Pro.

The technology is central to the phone’s 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera.

The latest new or expanded partnerships are just a small part of Apple’s broadening American supply chain. The company says U.S. companies produce nearly 100 components used in the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro, with suppliers operating in more than a dozen states. They provide chips, specialty glass and more.

Other companies contributing to Apple’s domestic manufacturing effort include Broadcom, Corning, Coherent, TSMC and Amkor Technology.
