The legal team at Apple has been reshuffled, with Meta VP Scott Tucker becoming the VP of global litigation and financial services at the iPhone maker.
Apple has already made a number of changes to its leadership in 2026, in part due to the introduction of John Ternus as CEO. However, in October, there was another change affecting its legal side.
On Friday, Bloomberg reported that Apple had secured the talents of an executive from Meta. According to people familiar with the change, Scott Tucker is becoming Apple's VP of global litigation and financial services.
A new role at Apple, Tucker will be charged with overseeing commercial and patent litigation, as well as financial legal matters. The move reunites Tucker with SVP and General Counsel Jennifer Newstead, who was formerly the chief legal officer at Meta, and officially took her Apple role in March.
Prior to Meta, Tucker also has experience at Morgan Stanley in a senior legal role. This gives him experience to handle the financial services side of his new role.
As part of the move, Apple VP of commercial and competition litigation Heather Grenier will report to Tucker instead of Newstead.
At the same time, senor legal department member and VP managing regulatory and product legal matters Kyle Andeer is getting a broader remit. His role will now include overseeing international legal matters, including functions such as online child safety, law enforcement, and cybersecurity.
