Apple has just released a wave of beta 2 updates for its next major software versions, including tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and more.
Beta 2 arrives for Apple’s next major software versions, including tvOS 27
If you’re running Apple’s developer betas this summer, there’s a new round of beta updates available now.
Developer beta 2 is rolling out for tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and more. Here’s the full slate of platforms:
- iOS 27
- iPadOS 27
- macOS Golden Gate
- tvOS 27
- visionOS 27
- HomePod 27
watchOS 27 has not yet been released, but is expected to arrive soon.
These are the major new releases launching this fall to all users. But for now, they’re only available in developer beta.
Public beta versions will debut next month for every platform except visionOS. Apple doesn’t offer a public beta for Vision Pro users. You can find more information about the public betas at beta.apple.com.
Early developer betas for major new OS versions always tend to be plagued by performance issues and bugs. While this year’s updates have so far been more stable than usual, Apple advises users to only install developer betas on secondary devices.
Have you installed beta 2 for tvOS 27 or another platform? How’s it running for you? Let us know in the comments.
