Just a day after Apple raised Mac prices across the board, the company started selling refurbished M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models through its Certified Refurbished online store. Select configurations are already available to purchase.

Depending on the model, buying refurbished can save you up to $480 compared to the higher new retail price.

Apple adds refurbished M5 Pro/Max MacBook Pros to its store

Post Apple’s price hike due to memory and DRAM supply crunch, an entry-level M5 Pro MacBook Pro costs $2,499 — $299 more than before. The 16-inch model also carries a $299 higher price tag, starting from $2,999.

Apple’s Certified Refurbished store offers the same configurations for $2,119 and $2,549, respectively. That saves you $380 on the 14-inch model and $450 on the 16-inch version.

There are several configurations available right now, including some with 64GB or 128GB of unified memory and 2TB or more storage.

If you don’t see the configuration you want, check Apple’s Certified Refurbished store regularly. Apple typically adds new configurations to its Certified Refurbished store multiple times a week.

Refurbished 2026 Studio Display units also available

Besides the M5 Pro/Max MacBook Pros, Apple now sells the 2026 Studio Display through its Certified Refurbished store.

The $1,599 model is available for $1,359 — a modest $240 discount from its MSRP. The nano-texture glass variant costs $1,609, which is $290 less than its $1,899 retail price.

The biggest advantage of buying a Certified Refurbished Mac directly from Apple is that it comes with the same one-year limited warranty as a new model. You can also purchase AppleCare+ to extend your coverage and protect against accidental damage.

Apple says every refurbished Mac undergoes a thorough inspection, cleaning, and testing process before being resold. If any components fail to meet the company’s standards, they are replaced with genuine Apple parts. The Mac also ships in a new white box with all the necessary accessories, including the appropriate power adapter and charging cable.
