Gotta catch'em all! Beats has teased a new collaboration with Pokemon that looks like a new co-branded Beats Pill design.
Apple subsidiary Beats by Dre is no stranger to collaborations. They've worked with designers and stars like K-pop singer Jennie to brands like Nike. However, in its latest tease, it's going to be working with a heavyweight in kids entertainment.
In a short clip posted to X, Beats proposes it's "Time to catch something new." The clip shows what seems like a Beats Pill speaker with a barely visible color scheme, bombarded by light.
The visible spark elements on the speaker grille may indicate a character like the electric-type Pikachu will be on the front.
The mini-ad also uses cartoony flashes, flames, and electric sparks, reminiscent of the characters' abilities in the Pokemon game. The clip ends by showing the Beats and Pokemon logos.
AppleInsider reviewed the updated Beats Pill in 2024, with it scoring 4 out of 5. While it was a bit weighty, it offered excellent audio quality and battery life for $149.99.
