The flow of leaks for the Apple-LG smart home collection is continuing to flow, with images of security cameras now surfacing.

Wednesday's news has been dominated by leaks surrounding smart home accessories co-developed by Apple and LG. After the first wave of image leaks for part of the range, there's now photographs of the cameras.

The post by @Ringo_tech on X depicts multiple cameras, including the LG Video Doorbell Wired, Floodlight Cam, Outdoor Cam Plug-In, and LG Indoor Cam Plug-In.

The LG Video Doorbell is a tubular device with both a main camera and a second downward-facing camera. It connects over Wi-Fi with support for 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, with WPA2 and WPA3 security as well as Thread.

The Outdoor Cam Plug-in is a tubular device with a ball-joint mount. It has infrared LEDs for night-time shooting, as well as a microphone and speaker for two-way communication.

Again, it supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Thread, but also NFC. As an outdoor camera, it has "waterproof grease" and O-rings to seal it up.

The LG Floodlight Cam is similar to the Outdoor Cam, in that it has infrared LEDs, a mic and speaker, and wireless connectivity including Wi-Fi, Thread, and NFC.

It also shares its design with the Outdoor Cam too, except it has two side tubes containing lamps.

Lastly, the LG Indoor Cam Plug-in is a camera on an arm, which can sit on a shelf. The leaker says it has a motor and gear mechanism for the vertical tilt mechanism, which may mean it can be moved by remote control.

It includes Hall IC components, as well as infrared LEDs and a mic and speaker. Wi-Fi support is also included, along with Thread and NFC.

Even more leaks

The latest leak follows an earlier one that showed off the LG Smart Deadbolt Lock, the LG Smart Thermostat, and the LG Temperature Sensor.

As a whole, the collection of devices is believed to be a collaboration between Apple and LG. It is also thought that the range will be sold under the LG brand, much like the LG UltraFine Display, instead of bearing Apple's logo.

Current speculation is that LG will introduce the collection in 2027.

Muddying the waters is the long-standing rumor of Apple working on its own privacy-centric smart home camera system, separate from its work with LG.

On a podcast, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman described Apple's device as a cylinder that looks like a "metal giant chapstick." One or two of the leaked LG products somewhat match that description.

Apple is also expected to reveal new smart home products on October 13. The candidates include the long-awaited Home Hub, as well as updates to the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini.
