The price hike comes just one week after Paramount closed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, which owned Discovery Plus and HBO Max. The combined companies, known as Skydance, plan to merge Paramount Plus and HBO Max into “a single service over time,” though it’s not clear whether Discovery Plus will remain a standalone streamer.
Discovery Plus streams shows from networks like TLC, The Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, and Investigation Discovery. Many shows from the platform are also included within an HBO Max subscription, such as 90 Day Fiancé, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and Deadliest Catch. Discovery Plus last raised prices in January 2025.
This latest Discovery Plus price increase will go into effect immediately for new subscribers, while existing ones will see the increase in their next billing statement on or after November 12th.
