Holloway’s goal has always been about bringing fantasy football to a wider audience, not just hardcore nerds. With the NFL season starting next week and fantasy drafts in full swing, now seemed like a great time to see how Holloway stays focused during what is probably the busiest part of the year for a serious fantasy football fan.
What is one thing you wish you could change about your phone?
I wish it was less intrusive in everyday life. No matter how much I customize things, I am still overwhelmed with notifications and messages and things that “seem” required.
How many tabs do you have open right now?
Just 2! I’m very much a tidy tab user and a zero-inbox type of guy.
What is your favorite gadget you’ve ever owned?
I truly love my Whoop! It helps me stay motivated and accountable, barely needs to be charged, and builds camaraderie with friends. I resisted for years, thinking it was dumb, but I love it.
What creation are you most proud of?
Certainly, building The Fantasy Footballers. People told us we couldn’t bootstrap it, but working with my best friends on a project we loved was the most satisfying accomplishment.
What do you do when you need to focus?
I try to knock out a ton of little things in a small period of time to feel like I’ve cleared a bunch of stuff off my list. It helps me stay focused on high-priority items without the noise of a bunch of small things hanging over me!
What’s the last piece of physical media you bought?
The vinyl album of Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide.
What would the tagline for your biopic be?
The Man Who Overthought Everything
