Apple's 'Welcome Home' announcements revealed the Apple HomeView, updated Apple TV 4K, and HomePod mini 2. Your hosts discuss the new products and what they'll mean for Apple's smart home strategy.

The Apple HomeView is the central smart hub to your Apple Home. It'll display photos, now-playing music, and host information shared from up to six user's iPhones.

It's fairly priced at $299 and your hosts discuss exactly where they might fit in their home. Wesley imagines they could easily become the new HomePod and get tucked into various nooks throughout a home.

The Apple TV 4K is an expensive and iterative upgrade, but four HomePod surround sound is enough of a reason for one of your hosts to upgrade. It's just nice to know it is no longer the four-year old model.

The announcement that might have the most impact on Apple's smart home strategy is Apple Home Collection. Third-party accessory makers can choose to abide by strict Apple design and feature guidelines to be included in this collection currently hosting only LG and Schneider.
