Apple released iOS 27 beta 5 today after an unusually long three-week wait, and the update comes with brand new app icons for the Siri app, Safari, and more.
Apple rolls out app icon updates in iOS 27 beta 5
iOS 27 draws closer to a public launch, with a release set for next month.
And today’s beta 5 brings a few user-facing changes to prepare the update for launch.
Among them, new app icons have arrived for several system apps:
- Siri
- Safari
- Preview
- Settings
- Remote
You can see several of the new icons in the image above. Some very subtle updates seem to have been applied to other apps too.
Since the first beta, iOS 27 introduced design changes for even more icons as Apple refines the Liquid Glass look from last year.
Apps like Maps, Photos, Wallet, and more have had new icons in iOS 27 from the start. But today’s beta 5 revisions show that Apple isn’t done yet making iOS 27 icon changes.
