Apple announced iOS 27 today at WWDC 2026. The update focuses on upgrades to Siri, new Apple Intelligence features, and a slew of bug fixes and performance improvements. There are also big changes to Liquid Glass.

iOS 27 compatibility
Apple says that iOS 27 is compatible with all of the same iPhone models. This means that if your iPhone is running iOS 26, it will be able to update to iOS 27 when it’s released later this year.

However, some of the most advanced new Siri AI features, which rely on powerful on-device models, will only be available on the following devices:
- iPhone Air
- iPhone 17 Pro
- iPad with M4 and later with 12GB or more in memory
- Mac with M3 and later with 12GB or more in memory
