Apple's first foldable iPhone is drawing buyers to storefronts days before launch, while the first preorders are shipping for Friday delivery.
People are already lining up at Apple Stores across the globe, hoping for a chance at getting an iPhone Duo. Unfortunately, limited stock means many hopeful buyers will not be leaving with a new device.
Apple never shares firm production numbers, especially before a product is released. However, Apple has said there will be limited stock at retail available on Friday.
That warning hasn't stopped people from lining up, though. Lexus C on X shared a short video of Apple Galaxy Macau, where hundreds of people have lined up two days in advance.
He also shared snapshots of the Apple Firth Ave store, where people began arriving 30 hours before the device was set to go on sale.
TechDroider on Facebook also showed early lines forming at stores.
If you've got a preorder, you're going to start getting shipment notifications on Thursday if you haven't already. Some buyers are also reporting that Apple has shipped out their iPhone Duo, with October 23 delivery dates.
The iPhone Duo was announced at Apple's "Surprise and Shine" event on September 9. Apple's first foldable starts at $1,999 for the base model; despite that high price tag, it sold out within minutes.
Wait times for shipments from Apple have stretched into January 2027.
