Today is iPhone 18 Pro launch day, but ahead of iPhone Duo’s arrival in October, a variety of hands-on videos have surfaced online showing off the software keyboard, app multitasking, camera features, and more.
Hands-on videos demonstrate iPhone Duo features

iPhone Duo is an exciting new model unlike any previous iPhone. But its uniqueness raises questions about what the everyday experience will be like.
For example, what will texting be like on the software keyboard with such different screen sizes and shapes?
A new reel shared by Flourish Planner on Instagram offers a good look at one-handed typing on the exterior display, as well as the typing experience on the folding display.
Her impression is that texting is easier than expected, especially using the outer display. And if you have the iPhone Duo unfolded, holding it vertical offers a great typing experience.
Horizontal mode on iPhone Duo’s folding display provides the option of a split keyboard UI. So half of the keyboard is conveniently condensed to fit under each thumb on either side of the screen.
The same account has another reel showing off what iPhone Duo’s book reading experience is like. She demonstrates reading with the Duo partly folded and the page-flip animation replicating a real book.

Multitasking is shown off in this video by Rich DeMuro, which also provides a great look at the new landscape views for system apps. Generally if you hold the iPhone Duo in landscape orientation, you’ll see your content on the right and sidebars on the left, similar to an iPad layout.
Finally, this post by GadgetMatch has demos of a bunch of features including camera capabilities, gaming, StandBy mode, and more. iPhone Duo’s exclusive camera features so far seem to be a hit among early testers.
