macOS Sonoma 14.8.8 and Sequoia 15.7.8 RC 5 now available
Developers testing macOS Sonoma 14.8.8 and Sequoia 15.7.8 can now install the fifth set of release candidate builds, alongside macOS 26.6 beta 5, and its counterparts.
The release builds for today’s RCs are 23J615 for macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, and 24G817 for macOS Sequoia 15.7.8.
Apple has yet to provide any details on what’s included in the systems, beyond the default “important security fixes and is recommended for all users” release notes.
The releases come shortly after iOS, iPadOS, and macOS 26.5.2, which included security fixes Apple had originally planned to ship with version 26.6 but released early because of the risks posed by new AI-powered tools, so it is possible that some of the remaining planned fixes are included here.
