Apple Creator Studio has more AI-based updates, with the biggest change being the inclusion of MotionVFX plug-ins and templates.

Apple has been steadily making updates to the Apple Creator Studio, including one in September taking advantage of the new iPhone 18 Pro camera. Its latest update is, however, more AI-focused.

The main change is the inclusion of MotionVFX directly into Final Cut Pro for Mac. The addition brings with it thousands of templates, graphics, titles, and transitions.

There are also tools to help with rotoscoping, tracking, and color grading.

Cross-app workflows have also been improved, with editors now able to open images from their Final Cut Pro timeline directly in Pixelmator Pro without reimporting. There's also advanced image generation, more keyframe easing options, and 23 new transcription languages.

Motion also gains its own MotionVFX plug-ins, assisting with color grading and 3D camera tracking. Compressor adds the option to encode Cinematic mode video recorded on an iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone Duo.

As well as working on images from Final Cut Pro, Pixelmator Pro adds Generate Fill, which can edit images based on a user's description. Those generated elements can be inserted as new layers, or merged into existing ones, complete with intelligent masking.

Logic Pro improvements

Logic Pro benefits from a new design that uses Liquid Glass, complete with translucent surfaces.

When it comes to actual features, Logic Pro for Mac gains a new assistant powered by Apple's models as well as those of OpenAI. The assistant can help users navigate workflows, create new songs, set up vocal tracks, or update existing projects.

There's also a redesigned browser that centralizes loops, instruments, and effect patches. An on-device audio analysis tool called "music understanding" can also automatically analyze, classify, and tag sounds added to a user's collection.

Stem Splitter is being updated with the ability to isolate, replace, or rebalance drum parts, without needing the original multitracks.

A Producer Pack can also be unlocked from the King of Modern Salsa, Sergio George. In the pack, George discusses his signature piano sound, as well as Latin jazz and salsa loops.

Lastly, Voice Memo Sound Studio can reduce room ambience and background noise in recordings from supported iPhone models. Those clips can then be further fine-tuned in Logic Pro.

More AI, more formats

Continuing the AI push, the intelligent assistant based on Apple and OpenAI models is also available in Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. The assistant can understand document contexts.

In Keynote, it can help design, animate, and refine slides, while in Pages it can draft, restructure, and fine-tune written content. Under Numbers, it can recommend suitable charts and create custom tables using world knowledge.

There's also MCP support, allowing external AI agents and tools to read content, make edits, and perform automations in the iWork package.

Beyond AI, the Content Hub also includes Apple-curated stock video footage, more templates, and themes. Keynote gains support for the Keynote Interchange Format (.keyx), and Freeform adds text styles for one-step formatting.

The updates to Apple Creator Studio will be arriving in November, free for existing subscribers.

Apple Creator Studio costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year, with education customers paying $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year.
