The wait for a new Apple TV 4K has been longer than expected, but the latest report from Bloomberg indicates it’s on track for a fall launch with three new features.
Siri AI, revised remote, and more Apple Intelligence features rumored for Apple TV 4K, with new HomePods coming too

This weekend in his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman offered an overview of new Apple products in the pipeline for this year and 2027.
Much of what he reported has been covered extensively before, but one standout was an update on two long-rumored products: new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini. Gurman writes:
Finally, the new Apple TV and HomePod mini with Apple Intelligence are both in very advanced testing. I’d be surprised if they didn’t come this year as well. But don’t expect major changes with those items, other than support for the new Siri and possibly a tweaked Apple TV remote.
Previous Gurman reporting has mentioned a new full-size HomePod coming too, with the same improvements expected.
The new Apple TV 4K in particular has been long anticipated. In fact, the previous model is about to become the longest-running without a revision.
But when the new model does arrive this fall, it’s expected to include:
- Siri AI
- Revised remote
- More Apple Intelligence features
Siri AI wasn’t mentioned at all for tvOS 27 during WWDC, likely because it will require the new hardware to be supported. The updated remote could potentially add a new Ultra Wideband chip like AirTag 2 has for Precision Finding.
Now that we know the full Apple Intelligence story in iOS 27, there are a variety of new AI features that could fit well on tvOS too—beyond Siri. Possibilities include visual intelligence, Photos editing tools, HomeKit Secure Video upgrades, enhancements in tvOS 27’s revamped Podcasts app, and more.
