Aside from build quality and charging speed, one standout design element is the weighted metal chassis. It weighs a bit over a pound, and that is for a reason. Most lightweight MagSafe chargers have the problem that the magnets are too strong for the charger’s weight. So when you go to pull your iPhone off the charger, the charger either comes with it, or you have to use two hands to remove it. With the Stand One, this does not happen. My thoughts
I have always been a fan of Nomad’s hardware because they focus on permoum materials and thoughtful design rather then just checking off feature boxes. The Stand One has already been one of my favorite MafSafe charging stands, but the fact that it now matches the iPhone 17 Pro’s color takes it to another level for me.
Again, this charger supports the full 25W MagSafe charging for supported iPhones. It is also at the perfect angle. Nomad chose a 21-degree angle, noting that it is one of the more comfortable viewing angles for most people in most situations. The Stand One also works exceptionally well with Standby Mode. I like being able to quickly glance at it for some of my calendar, time, and weather information without being drawn to open up the phone.
The AirPods slot is also a nice touch. Being able to wirelessly charge your AirPods Pro confidently is great. I cannot tell you the number of times I’ve placed my AirPods on a charging pad that is misaligned, and they end up not charging. The Stand One has a bit of a divot to ensure the AirPods line up correctly every time.
One thing to note here is that this does not come with a charging brick. They recommend 40W or higher to ensure you get full charging functionality. They also offer a small 20% discount if you want to bundle a Nomad charging brick with this.
