Apple is set to reveal its renewed smart home strategy on October 13 alongside new hardware like the Home Hub, but that's not all that's coming in October. Learn the latest rumors on the AppleInsider Podcast.

It seems as if we know everything and nothing about Apple's October 13 announcements. While the new Apple TV 4K, updated HomePod mini, and Home Hub tablet are basically guaranteed at this point, there's a lot we don't know.

The use and function of the Home Hub tablet is easy enough to understand, but Apple's pitch will make or break the product. It is expected to be accompanied by a renewed Apple Home strategy, which also hopefully means a new Home app.

A rumored second October event would take place just before Halloween and feature M6 Mac updates. The likely candidates this time around would be the iMac and the rumored OLED MacBook Pro with a touchscreen.

Your hosts also discuss the logistics of repairing an iPhone Duo's internal display. The promise of an accessible and affordable repair option brings a lot of relief to future owners of the expensive foldable.
