Apple rarely lets details about unreleased products slip out ahead of schedule. But every once in a while, the company accidentally spoils its own surprises.

That’s exactly what happened with macOS 26.7 Release Candidate, which contains references to several unreleased Apple devices.

Apple’s smart home plans leak in macOS 26.7

In recent months, some unreleased Apple devices have been referenced in beta iOS and macOS builds. But macOS 26.7 RC contains references to not just one or two, but 10+ unreleased Apple devices (via MacRumors).

Apple plans to release several new devices in the smart home category in the coming months, all powered by the new Siri. macOS 26.7 lists several such products, including the Home Hub, HomePod mini and more. The full list is as follows:

  • Home Hub (J490 and J491): This codename was previously associated with Apple’s upcoming home hub. It will seemingly run homeOS and cost $350. The J491 variant is apparently meant for wall mounting.
  • HomePod mini (B525): The current HomePod mini carries the codename B520. macOS 26.7 references B525, likely for the next-generation refresh.
  • Home Accessory (J229): This is seemingly a security camera that Apple was working on.
  • Pebble: This is the codename for Apple’s upcoming homeOS operating system.

The build also contains references to HomeAccessory17,2 and HomeAccessory17,3, though their identities remain unknown. Elsewhere, Rose Pink, Silver, Space Gray and Starlight appear as possible colors for an upcoming home accessory.

Upcoming iPhones, Macs and AirPods also make an appearance

On the iPhone front, the code mentions V62, V63, V64, V67 and V68. Previous reports have linked these identifiers to the iPhone Air 2, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 18 and Apple’s first foldable iPhone, respectively. The Pro models and foldable iPhone could arrive in September, while the regular iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 reportedly won’t launch until spring 2027.

The Mac references are equally interesting. J804 appears to be the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip, while J833 and J834 point to upcoming iMac models. Four additional identifiers — K114c, K114s, K116c, and K116s — are seemingly the future OLED MacBook Pros that Apple reportedly has in development.

Apple’s upcoming iPad mini also makes an appearance under the J510 and J511 codenames. Previous reports suggest the next model will receive two major upgrades: an OLED display and an A19 Pro chip.

macOS 26.7 RC also contains a video offering our first glimpse at Apple’s upcoming AirPods with cameras. The short clip shows how the earbuds will use their cameras alongside Visual Intelligence to understand and interact with the world around you.

There are references to plenty of other Apple products. However, it’s difficult to decipher their identities as the model numbers and codenames don’t match any existing devices.
