We have confirmed that Apple's first foldable iPhone is now available to preorder, with launch-day delivery dates expected to slip quickly.
The Apple Store is back online, with preorders for the iPhone Duo now officially open. Apple once again is using a queue system and will open the order page when it has reached your spot in the queue.
As it's done before, Apple opened a preorder configuration option ahead of the launch, allowing buyers to select their preferred configuration and payment method. Those selections help speed up checkout when preorders are live.
iPhone Duo preorders began at 5:00 a.m. Pacific, or 8:00 a.m. Eastern. Store access will vary as Apple's global content delivery system spins up in data centers across the world, and the Apple Store app comes back online.
Some buyers may see the store before others, depending on how and where they access it. We don't run a piece like this until we can confirm that iPhone Duo preorders are live, with the aforementioned queue.
If you don't see the store, try switching between the website and the Apple Store app.
Delivery dates for the iPhone Duo will begin slipping as preorder demand builds. Popular configurations can quickly move beyond launch-day delivery.
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 with 256GB of storage. A maxed out iPhone Duo with 2TB of storage will cost $3,199 before any trade-in or carrier deals.
