Tim Cook warned us it was coming, but still the price rises on most, although not all, Apple products are a blow. Here's what's changed, and when it might change back. All this and more, on this week's episode of the AppleInsider Podcast.
Join Wesley Hilliard in his studio and William Gallagher at a secret location off a motorway somewhere near London and Apple's UK headquarters, as we break down the news of what has and has not had a price increase. The main device to escape the rise is the iPhone, but now there's the question of whether that will increase later.
These rises also come as Apple is still expected to launch what was already believed to be the most costly iPhone ever. If the iPhone Fold really does come out in September, it's going to be fascinating to see how it fits into the lineup, and whether it even sells.
One thing that is unquestionably a success is Apple TV, and another is Apple Music. Together those two are the reason why Eddy Cue has just been given a prestigious entertainer of the year award. It's a long way from the days when all you'd hear about Cue was that he used to fall asleep in meetings.
Then it's too early to say for certain that the new Siri AI is a success since it's really split between the great and the poor. But this week saw the release of the second developer beta and we've been examining it.
