Proton working on a fix
Earlier tonight, Proton’s status page confirmed major outages affecting:
- Proton Mail
- Proton VPN
- Proton Calendar
- Proton Drive
- Proton Pass
- SimpleLogin
- Proton Wallet
- Lumo by Proton
The company says that after its initial investigation and mitigation efforts, all issues are now classified as partial outages. A status update posted at 7:37 p.m. ET says:
“Our efforts to restore impacted services are now yielding results, and as a result are starting to recover for some users. Meanwhile, we are continuing recovery operations.”
The outage was initially confirmed at 6:09 p.m. ET, as reports on Downdetector began to climb. Users on X also noted the issues, prompting the company to address the situation:
