The long-awaited return of Ted Lasso is finally here, with the premiere episode of the show’s much-anticipated fourth season now available to Apple TV subscribers.
At last, Ted Lasso returns
More than three years after Ted Lasso aired its season 3 finale, the show is now back with the first episode of its fourth season now available to stream on Apple TV.
The show’s return has been heavily promoted by Apple, with a surprise appearance by Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt as Ted and Coach Beard during the World Cup final, and a look-alike competition set to take place this Thursday, August 6, at the Apple Fifth Avenue Plaza, in New York.
If you’ve managed to stay away from any spoilers about the show’s return and would like to keep it that way, I suggest you cut to the chase and watch the first episode right now. However, if you don’t mind knowing the overall arc of what’s to come, here’s Apple TV’s synopsis of the show’s new season:
Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.
Ted Lasso’s fourth season will have a total of 10 episodes airing through October 7, 2026, and is expected to be the first of a new three-season run.
Most of the main cast is back, with new additions including Tanya Reynolds (Underdogs), and Paloma Cinco (De La Cruz), who’s the real-life sister of Cristo Fernandez, who played beloved Dani Rojas in the show and is now a professional soccer player.
