Ugreen has emerged as a popular player in the NAS market. It’s continuing that trend with the launch of two new NAS models in its DXP range: the DXP4800 GT and DXP2800GT.
Both new NAS models use AMD’s Ryzen embedded processor and feature 10GbE Ethernet connectivity for super-fast data transfer.
Ugreen’s first AMD-powered NAS
Ugreen offers an expansive range of NAS devices, starting from the entry-level ARM-based DH2300 and DH4300 Plus to the excellent mid-ranger DXP4800 Pro. There are also several 6-bay NAS options, with up to 64GB of integrated RAM and deep AI integration.
The DXP4800GT is the AMD variant of the popular DXP4800 Pro. It uses an AMD Ryzen Embedded E2514 processor with 4 CPU cores and 8 threads.
Compared to the DXP4800 Pro, the new GT model stands out with its dual 10GbE Ethernet connectivity and support for ECC memory. With four drive bays that support both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives, the DXP4800 GT can hold up to 144 TB of data.
The Ugreen DXP4800GT is a four-bay NAS powered by an AMD Ryzen Embedded E2514 processor, featuring dual 10GbE Ethernet ports, ECC memory support, and up to 144TB of storage capacity.
While the design of the NAS is similar to Ugreen’s other offerings, it features golden accents and borders.
The DXP2800 GT is a two-bay model with a maximum storage capacity of 80TB. It features a single 10GbE Ethernet port.
Both GT NAS models feature two expandable RAM slots and two M.2 NVMe slots. They also include two USB-A 3.2 ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, an HDMI port with 4K output and a front-facing SD card reader.
As for the GT branding, Ugreen says it’s inspired by the idea of Grand Touring, with its newest NAS offerings focusing on both speed and endurance.
The Ugreen DXP2800GT is a compact two-bay NAS with an AMD Ryzen Embedded processor, 10GbE networking, and support for up to 80TB of storage, making it ideal for fast home or small-office backups and media storage.
