There was a lot at WWDC last week. On this week's Smart Home Insider Podcast, we go through it all!

With Apple annual developer conference officially in the rearview mirror, we walk through all the biggest announcements Apple made. We walk through the changes to Apple Home, HomePod, and Apple TV.

There's a lot to love in these updates, including support for 2K and 4K camera feeds, Apple Intelligence video processing, and more intelligent notifications. We've been using the beta for the past week and can give our first impressions as well.

There was still more news for the week though. We spend time talking through several other smart home-related announcements.

Govee introduced its Smart Ice Maker 2 Pro. This is a bullet-style ice maker that can produce ice cubes in less than 3 minutes a batch.

It has smart lighting that can be controlled, easy scheduling, and more. Unfortunately, there is no Matter or Apple Home support until a dedicated standalone ice maker category is added to the standard.

Sonos has updated its official app to support Shortcuts. With the Shortcuts, you can create scenes and automations for your home that group and ungroup speakers, play content, adjust volume, and more.

Finally, Signify has announced a new update for Philips Hue lighting. Combined with the Hue Bridge or Bridge Pro, your lights can updated in real time with sporting events, such as the World Cup.
