YouTube will bundle Peacock in its standard subscription, which increased to $15.99 / month in April, YouTube spokesperson Jessica Gibby confirmed to The Verge. That makes it cheaper than subscribing to both services individually, as Peacock currently starts at $10.99 / month for its ad-supported plan.
The news of the deal comes at a pivotal time for Peacock, which is separating from Comcast’s broadband business alongside NBCUniversal and Sky. Matt Strauss, the chairman of NBCUniversal’s media group, says the agreement will boost Peacock’s “next phase of growth by bringing the service to millions of YouTube Premium subscribers.”
YouTube revealed that it had 125 million Premium and Music subscribers in 2025, while Comcast’s most recent earnings report revealed that Peacock has 48 million subscribers in the US. Peacock also turned a profit for the first time last quarter.
As part of the deal, NBCUniversal will stream “a selection of live sporting events” on YouTube, and it’s also extending its distribution agreement with YouTube TV.
