Apple’s digital event planning app, Invites, is out with three changes today, including a new cohosting feature.
Apple Invites adds cohosting, public guest lists, and new backgrounds
Apple Invites first arrived as a dedicated event invitations app in February 2025. Since then, Apple has regularly updated the iCloud+ service with new features and more content.
Today’s Apple Invites version 1.9 release continues that trend with three changes.
First, the app now includes a new cohosting feature. Second, guest lists can now be made public. And third, the app has new background options for digital invitation designs. Plus, the new version includes the usual bug fixes.
Here’s the full change log from today’s update with all the details:
- Cohosting is now available, letting you easily plan and manage your party with others.
- New event backgrounds help set the mood for your next coffee catch-up, boba run, ice cream social, and more.
- Hosts can now choose to make invited guests visible to all attendees.
Back in April, Apple updated its Invites app to include an iMessage app for the first time.
Apple Invites for iPhone is available on the App Store. Creating a digital invitation requires iCloud+, and anyone can respond.
