Apple is gearing up to release even more security updates as it tests out beta fixes for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
It looks like we'll be getting yet another round of minor updates soon. On Tuesday, Apple pushed multiple beta builds out for its existing operating systems.
The new macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 beta update has build number 25G82 and comes just four days after its predecessor, macOS 26.6.1, went public. Apple has yet to disclose what macOS 26.6.2 fixes.
However, macOS 26.6.1 fixed an issue with Screen Sharing. Apple says that the issue was addressed with improved state management.
Also released on Monday were Release Candidates for the following iPhone and iPad builds:
- iOS 18.7.10 (22H373)
- iPadOS 18.7.10 (22H373)
- iOS 26.6.1 (23G82)
- iPadOS 26.6.1 (23G82)
If you are running the beta for any of these builds, you should be able to download them now.
AppleInsider and Apple strongly advise against users installing test operating systems or beta software onto primary or "mission-critical" hardware. That warning stands for both developer betas and public beta builds.
More updates, more often
As noted before, Apple has said that users should expect these minor security updates to continue. The company will no longer delay including updates in upcoming scheduled releases.
AppleInsider, alongside Apple, suggests that you download the update as soon as it is available as a finalized release. These kinds of updates are critical for patching vulnerabilities and keeping your devices performing optimally.
