Apple TV has confirmed the premiere date of Nocturne, an upcoming drama series starring Liev Schreiber (Spotlight), Zazie Beetz (They Will Kill You), and Stephen Graham (Adolescence). Here are the details.
Nocturne premieres October 30
In a post published on X, Apple TV confirmed that Nocturne (previously known as Lazarus) will premiere on October 30.
The platform also published two first-look images showcasing the main cast, in addition to the show’s synopsis:
How do you beat a serial killer at his own game?
When the victim of a notorious killer unexpectedly turns up alive, a detective races against time to find the one person still missing, while his protégé goes undercover to get answers from the killer himself.
As noted by Deadline, Nocturne is based on two novels by Lars Kepler: Lazarus, and The Sandman. Rowan Joffe created the project and will serve as an executive producer, while John Hlavin, who developed the 10-episode adaptation, will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
For a deeper look at what to expect from the show, here’s Deadline’s description:
Nocturne tells the story of Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who, tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in Western Pennsylvania for a quiet life. But as the town and his family come under attack from the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham), Jonah must protect all that he holds dear. When the desperate search for Jurek’s last missing victim forces Jonah to send his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), up against Jurek, how far will Jonah go?
