A series of 14 iPhone 18 Pro models will be spread around Dodger Stadium to capture the "Friday Night Baseball" game, providing unique vantage points.
Apple first used iPhone cameras to capture a Major League Baseball Game in September 2025. The new iPhone 18 Pro models with variable aperture have launched just in time to be used in Friday's MLB game.
The "Friday Night Baseball" game between the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers will have 14 iPhone 18 Pro models stationed around the stadium. Apple has shared with AppleInsider that the iPhone's small size allows it to be in places no broadcast camera could fit.
The iPhone 18 Pro will capture views from the pitch clock, backstop, foul pole, and both bullpens. Eight of the iPhones will utilize a private 5G network from T-Mobile.
Apple will use the cameras to capture footage during the game, batting practice, player introductions, and locations around the stadium. It's a big step up from the four iPhone 17 Pro models used in September 2025.
This is the final game of the "Friday Night Baseball" schedule, and it's also one that will be captured in Immersive Video for Apple Vision Pro. You'll be able to watch on your Apple Vision Pro or anywhere there's an Apple TV app at 10:15 p.m. ET.
