Apple TV has again won the most awards at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, plus it has become the most awarded streamer ever.

Apple TV had already won 20 awards during the first nights of the 2026 Emmy Awards, in the chiefly technical categories. But now it has brought that up to 29, making it the most awarded network of the year for the second time running.

Its wins at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards also mean that Apple TV broke records just with "Widows' Bay," which saw:

  • Most wins for a freshman comedy in Emmy history
  • Most wins for a comedy in a single season
  • Most performance wins of any series in 2026
  • Hiro Murai getting the first-ever comedy directing win for an Asian

Plus Apple TV is not only the most Emmy-awarded network, it reached that in the seven seasons since its 2019 launch. That also makes it the fastest streamer to accomplish this.

"Reaching milestones like these feels incredibly special for all of us at Apple," said Matt Cherniss, Apple TV's head of programming in a statement, "but what makes it especially meaningful is what it represents: the extraordinary storytellers we have the privilege of working alongside."

"There is nothing like the power of a great story to capture our imaginations, surprise us in unexpected ways, and remind us of what connects us," continued Cherniss. "'Widow's Bay,' 'Pluribus,' and 'Slow Horses' have done exactly that. Congratulations to all of the artists honored and thank you to the Television Academy."
